Welcome to Splendid Cottage!
We're so glad you stopped by for a visit. Well, for starters, Splendid Cottage is a collaboration of two friends with a desire to create things that make people smile. We, Brittany and Kristen, are two very blessed moms who love to make/ re-purpose/ up cycle (whatever you want to call it) beautiful things to wear, decorate our homes with and sometimes, just to look at. Thrifty shopping is not only fun, it's pretty much necessary in the times we are in. If we can find something unique and give it a little TLC, we are up for the challenge! Brittany is a stay at home mom of one beautiful daughter, Lydia and Kristen,(apparently stay at home mom for a little while longer) mom to three great girls, Olivia, Kendall and Miranda. Whenever possible, we toss our ideas to one of the girls. If they crinkle their noses or say, "um, that's awful, mother" we know we need to regroup. Mostly, Lydia just smiles for now as she has yet to hit that first birthday. :) Well, we hope we can be of some inspiration to you in some small way. That's our goal. Enjoy, shop, and write us. Let us know how we're doing. Just please don't crinkle your noses.....enough of that at home. ;)
